Kartapult Onboarding

Requirements 

You must have Facebook, Google, or any other Email ID

You must have access to Facebook Ads or Google Ads account


Signing Up 

Go to https://kartapult.io/


Enter your email address and password or click on signup with either Google or Facebook account 


Onboarding 

If you're setting up your account on Kartapult for the first time, it will by default make you the owner of your business and will ask for some basic information to help set up your account


First, Kartapult will ask you to define your business between ‘Agency’ or ‘Brand’


 

Next, you are required to enter ‘Company Name’ and ‘Website URL’




After filling in the details and clicking on the ‘Next’ button, you have successfully registered your business on Kartapult. In order to make use of Kartapult you are required to add any brand to your account


Adding a brand 

First, enter ‘Brand Name’, ‘Industry’, ‘Website URL’, ‘Platform’, and ‘Location’ and click ‘Next’




Next, click on ‘Continue to Facebook’ to connect your Facebook ads account

(or you can click on skip if you do not want to connect Facebook ads account)


 

Connect your Facebook ad account by filling in the details ‘Choose Facebook Ads Account’, ‘Catalog’, ‘Pixel’, ‘Facebook Page’ and ‘Instagram Page’ associated with the brand and click on Save

(In case you are lacking any detail right now you can skip this step, after signing in on Kartapult you can go to the brand setting to fill in the details and connect your Facebook ads account)


 


Next, click on ‘Add Google Account’ to connect Google Ads account

(if you have skipped connecting your Facebook Ads account you should not skip this step as connecting either of the ad platforms is necessary)


 


Select your Google Ads account, the next two fillings are optional. If you want you can ‘Choose default Google URL’ and ‘Enter the brand’s associated words’ for example- if you are a brand selling apparel you can write ethnic kurta.


 

Now click on 'Save'


 

Next, click on ‘Add Google Account’  to connect Google Analytics 4 account

(or you can click on skip if you do not want to connect Google Analytics account yet)


 

Select your Google Analytics account and click on Save


Similarly, you can add Google Analytics 3 account in order to see your earlier GA data on Kartapult


After this step, you have successfully added a brand to your account. 

 

You can now view your connected assets by visiting the Brand Settings page from your Profile and making any required changes.  


How to connect Shopify


Requirements 

You need to be the store owner or a staff member with Enable app development permission to connect your store to Kartapult.


How to enable custom app development from the Shopify admin


1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.


2. Click Develop Apps.


3. Click Allow custom app development.


4. Read the warning and information provided, and then click Allow custom app development.


Adding Shopify brand


From the Kartapult platform go to your profile, go to > Brand Settings > Websites > Choose platform >Shopify


Now head over to your Shopify store


Create the app


1. From your Shopify admin, click Settings > Apps and sales channels.


2. Click Develop Apps.


3. Click Create to create an app.


4. In the modal window, enter the App name Kartapult and select an App developer. 


Note: The app developer can be the store owner, or any staff or collaborator account with the Develop apps permission.


5. Click Create app.



Select API scopes

After you create a custom app, you need to assign certain API scopes to it. 


1. Click Configuration.


2. In the Admin API integration, click configure,


3. Select the read_orders scopes from the list


4. Click Save.


Install the app and get the API access tokens


1. Go to Overview and click Install app.


2. A pop-up opens, click Install app.


3. Get the access token


4. Go to the Admin API access token section and click Reveal token once.


Kindly Note: You need to copy and save the token somewhere safe, as you won't be able to access it again


5. Now go back to the Kartapult page and enter the access token under > Access Token 


6. Enter your store URL to connect Shopify to Kartapult.

Your store URL will be the store name followed by my Shopify dot com. 

(example - https://my-store.myshopify.com)


7. Store name can be extracted from Shopify URL which is the value after slash store.


8. Click > Agree and continue 


9. Your Shopify store is now connected to Kartapult, enjoy the service!
